Susan G. Komen Central Indiana is battling breast cancer on all fronts. Beginning close to home, we use donated dollars wisely, locally and in ways that directly benefit women, men and families who are dealing with the costly challenge of breast cancer in our community. But we also empower local dollars to serve beyond our community as they fund a significant portion of the best breast cancer research around the world.
Last year’s grant cycle funded over 59,000 life-saving breast health services, including mammograms, diagnostics, patient navigation and survivor support to 22,000 individuals in Central Indiana.
Our services area covers: Bartholomew, Boone, Brown, Clinton, Decatur, Delaware, Grant, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Howard, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Montgomery, Morgan, Rush, Shelby, Tippecanoe and Tipton counties.
Beyond our Community
Today, Susan G. Komen is the global leader in the breast cancer movement and has raised and invested more than $2 billion dollars in community impact grants and national research programs. We have the power to find the cures right here at home. Komen is currently funding 9.5 million dollars in active research grants for projects here in Central Indiana.
